WEDDING VLOG | GODS PROVISION + Last 48 hours before getting married

My God my King Jesus! To the very last second, the Lord blessed us on our wedding day. This was only one thing the Lord did throughout my the whole process of preparing for marriage and the wedding. Before I got engaged, I heard so many stories of how people about how their wedding days were filled with so much stress, and they didn’t enjoy their wedding day. I prayed for the Lord to help me be present and really soak in the beauty of the day. I wanted to enjoy the process and he answered that prayer. Our wedding day was seriously one of the best days of my life, filled with peace, joy, prayer, and laughter. Forever giving glory to the lover of my soul, the love of my life!

Redecorating our Guest Room + Haul

Hi guys! Here is a quick little haul we got from At-Home and Ross! The room task was to mix warm and cool tones, because I am drawn to warmer colors but there were a lot of cool grays in the room that we wanted to keep working with!

The Daily Grace Co. Bible in a Year plan can be found on the YouVersion Bible app and the partnering podcast can be found on all platforms. I've linked apple and Spotify podcasts below. DGC also has physical resources and studies that can accompany you throughout the year. I really enjoy it because the podcast shows that the whole Bible, even Leviticus and Numbers, are weaving a large story that points to Jesus. This is a great resource for anyone trying to study scripture in a more meaningful and context filled way.

Passing the GACE Exam | A Testimony of God's Faithfulness

Hi friends! This week I have got to tell you how the Lord showed out in my life recently. Our JESUS is faithful! Watch and be encouraged about the strength of God in your weakness!

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 // 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Getting There: Thoughts on the Process

As I began editing this video, I am struck with the intentionality of God’s design. This particular morning I went on a walk which was not uncommon, but I also wandered into this butterfly garden our local park created. As I’m thinking about the beauty of the process and God’s love for it, I am watching one of the greatest processes there is. A garden. Flowers and plants that went through their own process and are still in the midst of it, yet it is beautiful.

God is so funny. I have a tattoo on my arm that reminds me of this same thing. Years ago, I was discouraged and fed up with my imperfection, my inability to do the right thing, to be completely made right by my own effort. Though I knew the Gospel, and loved the Lord Jesus, I struggled to embrace his sacrifice and mercy over my life. Perfection is not our call. Surrender and Intimacy is.

That day, God showed me the truth again. I was expecting life and myself to be linear, a perfectly cut bouquet at all times. I was frustrated with the thorns, the death, and the dirt. God revealed to me that life is like a garden. There are things at all stages of growth, some flowers just budding, some in full bloom, some in the midst of their lifespan, and some wilting in their end. Yet, it all is beautiful. So I encourage you to also give yourself grace today, it is all beautiful.

I got my natural hair done in China.

This is a short video taping my experience getting my natural hair cut and colored in Guangzhou. This was the first time in my life I have ever cut my hair, or really had hair shorter than my shoulders since I was very young.

Disclaimer: My facial expressions and reactions have more to do with my inexperience cutting my hair rather than who is cutting it! Tommy was a phenomenal stylist and treated me so well.
